The confrontation between the 2 predominant poltical heavyweights contesting the 2024 presidential elections isn’t slowing down, with the flagbearer of the NPP, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the most recent to throw one other punchline.
In a press assembly on Sunday, August 25, Dr Bawumia known as on Ghanaians to reject his rival, NDC flagbearer former President John Dramani Mahama, on the polls on December 7.
Dr Bawumia said: “Women and gents, I symbolize the longer term and Ghana wants an improve, not a reset”.
This gave the impression to be a direct response to former President Mahama’s feedback the day gone by on the launch of the NDC Manifesto.
Mr Mahama had consistently urged Ghanaians to reject Dr Bawumia, evaluating him to an “inexperienced driver’s mate” prone to plunge Ghana into chaos.
Moreover, on the launch of the NDC Manifesto, Deputy Communications Officer of the NDC, Malik Basintale, steered that Ghana would endure a reset underneath the management of their flagbearer, Mr Mahama, if elected within the upcoming common election.
Former President Mahama goes head-to-head with Dr Bawumia, with the previous staging a powerful come-back after eight years in opposition whereas the latter goals to increase the NPP’s grip on energy.
