Valencia’s former Wolves striker Rafa Mir has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault, Spanish police mentioned on Tuesday.
His membership mentioned that they have been “conscious” of 27-year-old Mir’s arrest and BBC Sport understands Mir was not current at a coaching session on Tuesday.
“He’s below arrest for alleged sexual assault,” a spokesperson for Spain’s Civil Guard police power advised the AFP information company.
Studies of the participant’s arrest had emerged in Spanish media earlier on Tuesday.
In a press release posted on the membership’s web site, Valencia added: “In relation to the press reviews which have appeared relating to the arrest of Valencia CF participant Rafa Mir, the Membership is conscious of mentioned arrest and, within the absence of particulars about it, for the second it will possibly solely state that it’s going to cooperate in every part that justice might require.”
