O’Reilly headmistress flees as family of slain student goes beserk

The headmistress of O’Reilly Senior Excessive College (SHS)  fled for her life throughout a gathering with the household of a murdered scholar of the college.

Nadia Lartechoe Annan was a part of the Ghana Training Service (GES) delegation that visited the grieving household on Wednesday, September 4.

On Monday, September 2, 2024, a final-year scholar at O’Reilly SHS stabbed one other scholar to loss of life following an argument.

The sufferer has been recognized by his household as 18-year-old Edward Borketey Sackey, a final-year Visible Arts scholar.

This prompted GES and the administration of the college to condole with the household and see the best way ahead.

Nevertheless, the assembly grew to become chaotic, when tempers flared as relations accused the college administration of displaying little curiosity within the incident.

Livid relations started yelling and charging in direction of the college administration.

Sensing hazard, the headmistress took to her heels earlier than the scenario escalated.

The daddy had earlier accused the college and academics of negligence and threatened to sue the administration.

He mentioned neither the college administration, the attacker’s household, nor the police has reached out to them relating to the scenario.

“We would like solutions from the college authority, and the mother and father of the boy and the police. What occurred to the extent of resulting in the coed stabbing his buddy? That’s all we would like. We would like justice, and we would like the college authority to elucidate to us if the academics weren’t on the faculty when it occurred, or they had been there, or they didn’t care.”

He added that the administration had invited law enforcement officials to forestall them from accessing the campus.

In the meantime, the coed liable for the stabbing has since been arrested.
