O’Reilly stabbing: Suspect remanded for murder


The 18-year-old O’Reilly SHS pupil accused of killing his colleague has been remanded in police custody.

The suspect, whose identify has solely been given as Godwin, was hauled earlier than the La District Court docket on Thursday, September 5.

He has since been charged with homicide and is to reappear on September 19, 2024, for additional proceedings.

The suspect reportedly stabbed 18-year-old Edward Borketey Sackey, a final-year Visible Arts pupil to demise following an argument.

The incident occurred on Monday, September 2, 2024, after they sat for an examination.

The altercation reportedly started as a heated change over who was wealthier, escalating right into a bodily struggle.
